Orientation

Over the course of one day, you’ll learn about Walmart, our sub-brands, your summer experience, and so much more. The best part is that we’ve lined up some incredible speakers to share their stories, tips, and ways that Walmart is investing in you.

Agenda

7:45am — Depart from hotel to head to Fayetteville
8:15 - 8:30am — Arrive, check-in, and grab some breakfast
9 - 9:30am — Program kickoff with Tom Wait
9:30 - 11am — Welcome to Walmart with Katy Jones & Ryan Henderson
11am - 12pm — Summer Overview with Justin Kohley
12 - 1pm — LUNCH
1:15 - 3:15pm — Breakout Sessions:
Intern-Alumni Panel with former Finance, AFDP, Merchandising, and Technology interns
Personal Brand and Self-development with Josh Rogers
Associate Digital Experience with Joe Park
3:30 – 4pm — Wrap up
4 - 4:30pm — Closing message with Latriece Watkins
4:45pm — Board shuttles back to hotels

What to Wear
We're keeping things casual for orientation, so come representing your university with a school t-shirt and jeans (or other casual outfit).
What to Bring
It’s critical that you bring the necessary documentation to complete your I-9. If you can't provide the physical documents within a few business days, you'll be legally unable to continue working for Walmart. So, don't forget!
Where to Go
Orientation will be hosted at the Fayetteville Town Center (15 W Mountain St, Fayetteville, AR 72701). Shuttles will be provided for all non-driving interns and everyone else can utilize the free parking garage connected to the back of the building.
